Talk by Ofer Zalzberg - 'The religious facets of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and their implications for peacemaking' - 14 March 2018

Ofer Zalzberg gave a talk on 'The religious facets of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and their implications for peacemaking' on Wednesday 14 March in the Irish School of Ecumenics TCD, 14.00 Room G16.

Ofer Zalzberg is International Crisis Group's Senior Analyst for Israel and Palestine since 2010 covering the Arab-Israeli conflict and its complex regional ramifications. He is based in Jerusalem and much of his work is focused on the nexus of religion, national identity and conflict, including faith-based strategies to transform disputes with a sacred dimension. Ofer has also been involved in prestigious conflict resolution and peace initiatives both at local and international level. His briefings and policy recommendations are regularly consulted by Israeli, Palestinian, American and European policy-makers as well as diplomats, academics and journalists.
