Annual Alumnae / Alumni Event at ISE - 21 June 2017

As has been the tradition at ISE, we are very much looking forward to hosting graduating students and their families together with current students, alumnae / alumni and friends at our annual event.

This year's informal event will take place as follows:

Date: Wednesday 21 June 2017

Time
: 5.30 p.m. - 7.00 p.m.

Venue
: Irish School of Ecumenics - Loyola Institute building, Trinity College campus

5.30 p.m. Staff and some former students greet guests - while drink and
refreshments are served.

6.15 p.m.
Prof. Andrew Pierce, Head of ISE, welcomes and introduces our guest speaker.

6.25 p.m.
Address by guest speaker, who will speak about the relevance his study at ISE, in relation to his current role and future plans.

6.35 - 6.40 p.m. Conclusion of formal proceedings by Prof. Andrew Pierce.

Guests continue to mingle and chat until 7.00 p.m. approximately.

Guest speaker:
We are delighted to let you know that our guest speaker at this year's event will be Mr. Geoffrey Day, who graduated with an M. Phil. in Peace Studies in 2012. Prior to this, Geoff spent 40 years as a senior manager in the health services in the UK and Ireland. Geoff has recently returned from a period of 3 months on the West Bank in occupied Palestine as an Ecumenical Accompanier monitoring and reporting on human rights. Geoff will speak about his experience and the importance of advocacy in telling the Palestinians' experience.
