Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
The University’s EAP service is provided by the Clanwilliam Institute. University staff and their immediate families (those living at home with them) can avail of up to 5 professional counselling sessions at no cost to the staff member. This is a strictly private and confidential service.
Face-to-face counselling on a broad range of issues. Counselling appointments are available Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm and Saturday, 8am to 12 noon. Telephone counselling is also available where practical and suitable.
Contacting the Service to make appointments:
To make an appointment or to enquire about the suitability of telephone counselling, staff contact the Clanwilliam Institute directly themselves during office hours which are Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. Calls and e-mails received outside these hours will be answered the next working day.

The Clanwilliam Institute is wheelchair accessible. Irish Sign Language (ISL) Services with Clanwilliam are free to staff members. There is an ISL counsellor in Clanwilliam, however, if this person is known to you, Clanwilliam can organise a different ISL interpreter via Bridge Interpreting. The University will not receive information on your attendance or the use of an interpreter.
