Professional Skills for Research Leaders

HR's Learning and Development Unit are delighted to announce the launch of epigeum's Professional Skills for Research Leaders (PSRL) programme. The Learning and Development Unit in conjunction with TR&I originally ran this programme as a pilot programme in 2015. Following its success, we are now pleased to be in a position to roll it out across the University.

The Professional Skills for Research Leaders (PSRL) programme was developed by epigeum, a leading publisher of online courses that specifically target researchers, students, and professional staff in the higher education sector, in consultation with a number of universities worldwide, including Trinity College Dublin.

Epigeum's PSRL is an online programme designed to help independent researchers develop their leadership, management and engagement strategies. The programme is designed to help early and mid-career researchers progress from where they are now, to where they want to be professionally, by equipping them with the skills needed for professional development in a higher education context. This initiative is offered as a blended learning programme, combining a suite of online courses with a series of off-line masterclasses and mentoring support.

The programme, consisting of 6 online courses supplemented by a series of off-line masterclasses, will begin with an induction in early October 2017 and will run through to April 2018.
