Performance Management and Probation

Throughout your academic career you will participate in the University's performance management process. There is a greater focus on performance management in the first four years of your role.

Performance Management consists of

  1. Setting and submitting objectives on the Objectives Form. If you do not wish to use the form, please ensure that the details set out are in your new document;
  2. Ongoing conversations with your Head of School and your Mentor to assist you in in Research, Teaching and Engagement directions;
  3. Performance review and probation.
  4. As part of your probation and performance review you will be asked to do a self assessment and fill in a probation form. This is supported via the RSS system (register here). Note we will have a master class to support use of the RSS.
