Global Relations Strategy

Trinity College Dublin's global reputation as a world-leading university is reflected in its standing in the world university rankings. For generations, Trinity College Dublin has delivered and continues to deliver high quality, internationally-recognised education with a reputation for research excellence.

In order to ensure Trinity extends its position as a hub for global research and high-quality international education into the future, a number of key objectives have been identified to embed internationalisation into the fabric of the University.  The University’s current strengths and international focus are reflected in a diverse range of global activities and Trinity continues to attract the very best students and staff from across the world.  Our global strategy is built upon a number of themes that will ensure Trinity’s position as a university of global consequence.

Trinity's long-term commitment to internationalisation is unequivocal. For Trinity College Dublin to succeed in an increasingly competitive environment, internationalisation needs to be developed as a long-term and sustainable process, based on high-quality and balanced engagement with international partners. Developing a global focus will raise the profile of Ireland's leading university as an international education destination and research hub.
