Tribute to Professor Yash Chopra, Bollywood Legend

The College community, and in particular the Vice Provost for Global Relations Professor Jane Ohlmeyer, extend their deepest sympathies to the family of Professor Yash Chopra who passed away suddenly on Sunday October 21st last. 

Professor Chopra was Bollywood’s most influential film maker and founder of Yash Raj Films.  In August 2012 he received an Honorary Professorship from Trinity College Dublin at a special event in Mumbai on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Bollywood film.  Professor Chopra was a highly accomplished man who achieved much during a career that spanned five decades.  Our thoughts are with his family and colleagues at this difficult time.
