Global Reach
As part of the Global Relations Strategy, Trinity is building on a legacy of global engagement through a number of initiatives to ensure the university remains Ireland's most globalised university. By fostering international relations, building global reach and encouraging students to study abroad, Trinity strives to educate and prepare students to become global citizens.
Mobility
Trinity College Dublin attracts faculty, students and staff from every continent and has longstanding connections with some of the world's great universities. The University is committed to increasing international mobility of faculty and students as part of our Global Relations Strategy and offers almost 300 study abroad, exchange and mobility options for students and staff looking for a challenging international experience. Trinity students are encouraged to take advantage of the study abroad opportunities available to them with world leading institutions in countries such as Australia, USA, Canada, Hong Kong and Singapore. Trinity also encourages students from partner universities to study in Ireland for a semester or year as part of their course.
Research Collaborations
Trinity College Dublin has developed a range of strategic partnerships and the University's research collaborations span the globe and incorporate some of the world's most prestigious institutions of higher education. These partnerships encourage research collaboration, facilitate knowledge transfer, enhance the student experience and encourage important international debate. The high level of international research collaboration is demonstrated by the diverse range of projects Trinity researchers are involved in around the world which have global impact and address real-world issues.
Overseas Offices
Trinity College Dublin has Country Advisors in a number of key regions in order to assist with the successful implementation of the University's Global Relations Strategy. Based in India and North America, the Country Advisors help Trinity strengthen existing relationships with educational institutions, develop new ones, and facilitate better communications with students who are interested in studying at Trinity. Educational Networks
Trinity has numerous educational links with members of the Coimbra Group, an association of long established European multidisciplinary universities of high international standard, and has long been a participant in the Erasmus programme of student exchanges. Each year Trinity College Dublin students travel to universities across Europe to broaden their educational experiences and European students take advantage of the wide range of course options available to them at Trinity.
Alumni Network
With over 95,000 alumni from 130 countries worldwide the number and strength of Trinity's international alumni groups continue to grow. Trinity alumni branches allow members connect with fellow alumni in their region. These branches form a network of contacts across the globe that enables the College's alumni community stay in contact with each other and with their alma mater.
International alumni are invaluable in speaking to prospective students about their time at Trinity and to recent graduates about career prospects. Various events are also held throughout the year across the globe providing opportunities for alumni to socialise and network with each other.
