Other Training Options
A pilot programme of in-person Diversity Training was delivered by Clare Mulligan consulting in 2015/16, with groups from Human Resources and Academic Registry taking part. The training covers definitions of diversity, benefits of diversity, dealing with bias, and a practical goal-setting exercise for ongoing progress after the training. Feedback has been very positive and it is intended to rollout the training to further groups in the coming months.
Trinity has a comprehensive Gender Identity and Gender Expression Policy which gives practical guidance on how to be inclusive of all gender identities in the Trinity context. As part of the implementation of this policy, and Trinity's general commitment to equality and diversity, Transgender Equality Network Ireland (TENI) have been engaged to deliver introductory training in gender identity and transgender inclusion.
