Limitations

The Fund is not available for projects that should otherwise be centrally funded by College, CSC, departments or other sources.

Costs associated with catering and refreshments will be funded if they are essential to the project and up to a maximum of 10% of the total budget.

Allocation of Funding

The allocation of funds is made by the advisory sub-committee of the Equality Committee. Funding will be adjudicated annually in one or two installments.

The annual allocation of the Fund is €10,000. This is generally distributed amongst several projects. Individual projects are rarely allocated in excess of €1,500-€2,000. Unspent monies will revert to the Fund.

The Equality Fund Sub-Committee reserves the right only to award funds to those proposals which meet the stated criteria. This could result in the full fund not being awarded at any particular time.
