Policies and Legislation

Irish legislation protects all students, staff and service users of Trinity College from direct or indirect discrimination on any of these 9 grounds: gender, civil status, family status, sexual orientation, age, race and ethnicity, religion, disability or membership of the Traveller community, under the Employment Equality Act 1998-2010 and Equal Status Act 2000-2010.

Additionally the College has Equality and Dignity and Respect policies which outline the College’s commitment to ensuring equality in access and participation in employment, education and services, supporting a respectful work and study environment where all individuals are treated fairly and in a non-discriminatory manner. These documents are in compliance with legal requirements and underline Trinity’s commitment to actively promoting equality amongst staff and students.
