The Samuel Beckett Summer School Application Information
Hosted by the School of Drama, Film and Music and the School of English at Trinity College Dublin.
Trinity College Dublin is honoured to present the annual Samuel Beckett Summer School, a weeklong celebration and exploration of the works of one of its most famous graduates. Each year we will invite the world’s foremost Beckett scholars to present new lectures and seminars on all aspects of Beckett’s works.We hope that the School will appeal to a wide range of Beckett enthusiasts by providing the opportunity to savour and study Beckett’s works in the context of the university where he began his intellectual life.

The Summer School will run from 15-20 July 2012.
Please contact sbss@usit.ie for a registration form from January 2012. Registration forms are in MS Word format. Please fill them out electronically and send them back to our email address for registration. The application form includes your personal details, housing option selection, seminar choices (ranked 1-4), and payment details.
Applications and Registration will be open between January 2012 and 15th June 2012. A non-refundable deposit of €200 must accompany the application form. Applications received within two weeks of the deadline should include full payment.
Registration Option 1: Including Housing 1,170 euro
Stay on campus at Ireland's oldest university, founded in 1592, with its cobbled squares and atmospheric buildings where Beckett himself lived as a student. Select between:
a) Two/three bedroomed apartment with shared bathroom, kitchen and living area (based on sharing)
c) Single room with en suite bathroom
Continental breakfast is included, together with access to the computer labs on campus. See our Housing page for additional details and photos. All choices are subject to availability.
Registration Option 2: Programme Only 670 euro
This option is subject to availability. If you decide to take this option, then you will be personally responsible for arranging your own housing for the duration of the summer school.
