Pebblepad ePortfolio System
PebblePad is a web-based tool that enables learners to develop, maintain, and share an electronic collection (or e-portfolio) of work experiences, learning experiences, and activities that they have been involved in academically or professionally. PebblePad is a resource for students registered with the Disability Service, to support their personal development and growth. PebblePad can support the student in managing their transition into employment. The student gets their own individual account for life and everything that they create remains private unless they choose to share it. An app called ‘Pebble Pocket’ is now also available for free with your Pebblepad account.
The student can upload images or videos displaying their achievements; keep a blog; or use the in-built templates to reflect on their skills, goals, and progress. Keeping these items together allows for reflection on development over time. The student can then bring these separate items together using a “webfolio”, which is like a website, to showcase their development. The student can have lots of webfolios, each using different items or the same items in different ways. This enables the student to tailor each webfolio to a different audience, e.g. a mentor or a potential employer.
