Biography: Andrew has been working with the service since January 2008 gaining experience in a wide area of Assistive Technology devices and software. Andrew is also currently the service lead on the Trinity inclusive curriculum project and is the It administrator on a number of Disability service information systems (Web, Sharepoint, Student Database). Andrew moved internally from Information System Services where he served 2 years working on the universities IT helpdesk and technology projects. Andrew has also worked in the private IT sector for 4 years with Calyx Voice & data gaining experience in a range of IT issues from desktop to server support.
Andrew has completed his BA in Management and Information Systems from Liverpool John Moores University. Recently Andrew has completed study from the British occupational hygiene society in Ergonomics essentials and his advanced Diploma in Web design. Andrew has also recently completed a MSc in Computing (Universal Design and Assistive Technology) at Dublin Institute of Technology and has completed research into Assistive Technology Outreach programs at secondary level presented by UCC and research into the barriers to a successful transition of Assistive technology supports from an educational to a working environment.
