Trinity Students with Disabilities Ambassador Programme
What is the Trinity Students with Disabilities Ambassador Programme?
The Trinity Students with Disabilities Ambassador Programme is a group of students with disabilities who represent and showcase Trinity's Disability Service to prospective students. In doing this, the Ambassadors share their stories and experiences of college life, giving new students a real picture of what Trinity has to offer. The Ambassadors act as positive role models and information providers at presentations in the community, and at Orientation programmes in Trinity.
Student to Student also run a peer support programme that might be of interest to students. More information is available here.
Why should I get involved?
If you get involved you will have an opportunity to improve your communication, presentation, public speaking, networking, and leadership skills. Furthermore, you can develop your knowledge and experiences, which will be beneficial for your personal growth and journey through university and into employment, as these are all attractive attributes to employers.
You will have access to a monthly Ambassador Training and Leadership Programme, which will be hosted by internal and external professionals on topics such as ‘Effective Presentation’; ‘Using Microsoft Office’; and ‘Project Management’. What's more, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the future life and career choices of the next generation of Trinity students!

How do I become an Ambassador?
If you are interested in becoming an Ambassador, you are required to attend an initial two day training workshop. This will give you important information to support you in your role as a Trinity Ambassador. Furthermore, you will be asked to sign up to various events run by the Disability Service, where you may be asked to share your student voice, informing people about your experience as a Trinity student, your route to education, and your college life. You can pick and choose what events suit your schedule.
Do I need any particular qualifications or experience?
No - all you need is a positive attitude, motivation and enthusiasm!
