Orientation

The Orientation for New Students website covers every question and aspect of your arrival to Trinity College Dublin. Please inspect the helpful webpages here.

The staff of the Academic Regisrty Service Desk will assist you as much as they can to ensure that you have a smooth transition into life at Trinity College. In order to help you prepare you for your arrival they will send you orientation information by email (full-degree non–EU, EU/Non EU Visiting and Erasmus Students). Please note that full-degree non–EU students will also receive an orientation pack on arrival from the Admissions Office. When you arrive, staff will be happy to help you if you have any questions or concerns about settling into Trinity College.

The first week of the academic year prior to the start of lectures is called Freshers' Week. This is the induction week for all new undergraduate and visiting/ Erasmus students. You are strongly encouraged to attend your orientation sessions offered during this week. The orientation sessions cover such topics as introduction to university life and services, computer access, and includes Library and Sports Centre tours.
