Nanobio

Biomedical research in CRANN is dedicated to research at the interface between the physical and life sciences. Researchers are comprised of members from the school of Physics, Chemistry, Pharmacology and Medicine. CRANN are developing biodiagnostic technology for the fast detection of viruses in liquids. Other interests include magnetic and fluorescent nanoparticles for ultrasensitive biomarkers detection, nanoparticle interactions with live cells, organelles and extracellular structures and new nanoscale drug delivery systems.

NanoBio investigators hope to facilitate and accelerate the translation of biomedical nanotechnology research into improved nanoscale diagnostics and nanomedicine.

CRANN is also part of the Molecular Medicine Institute which is a not for profit company established by an extended network of Irish Universities and their associated academic hospitals. For more information on CRANN Nanobio Research please email colm.mcatamney at tcd.ie
