Student life as a member of any of the Business School's degree programmes is characterised by involvement in the world of ideas, in searching for understanding about the nature and functioning of organisations and their management, in directed and independent study, in building life-long learning skills and in setting the foundation for a challenging and stimulating career. And that's only the start….
There are currently 101 societies in college, covering a huge variety of interests. Societies of specific interest to Business students are as follows:
Foresight is a student-run organisation that was founded over 30 years ago to help foster strong relationships between Trinity College undergraduates and leading members of the Irish business community. Through its unique breakfasts and Business Journal launch they have cultivated a strong profile within Irish business.
The Dublin University Business and Economics Society is one of the biggest societies in college and the biggest of the BESS faculty. The principal aim of DUBES remains the same as in 1930, to further the academic and social interests of our members.
AIESEC Global Exchange Programme
AIESEC gives Trinity students a chance to travel and to gain international work experience. 5000 placements are available in over 80 countries. The Programme targets primarily final years although a limited number of placements are available for the summer months.
The UPSTART program is run in association with AIB, The Trinity Business Alumni and the Business School. It is designed to foster ideas and innovations amongst students by helping them to set up new businesses.
