Dr. Jeffrey Hughes is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Trinity Business School. His career to date has spanned both academia and industry. He holds a Ph.D. in Strategy and Information Systems from Trinity College Dublin, with his doctoral research exploring the practice of strategic information systems planning in a public service healthcare context.
He lectures in Strategy and Information Systems on the M.Sc. in Management programme. He has experience teaching across an array of subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, previously leading seminars in Organisation and Management, Marketing, and Business Research Methods. He draws upon a wealth of practitioner experience from his time spent in industry, where he was primarily engaged in the technology and consulting realms.
Jeffrey is a Research Fellow at the University of St. Andrews, joining the Centre for Research into Information, Surveillance and Privacy based at The School of Management. His current focus is on big data analytics and the political, legal, economic and social dimensions of the surveillance society.
