MSc in Human Resource Management received full accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD)

The CIPD is the world's largest Chartered HR development professional body, with over 145,000 members around the world. For more than 100 years, the CIPD has been championing better work and improving working lives by setting professional standards for HR and people development, as well as driving positive change in the workplace. Accreditation to a programme is based on a number of factors including student profile, teaching faculty and induction, virtual learning environment, as well as content, design, delivery and assessment of the programme.

The accreditation team involved in the decision (pictured below) were impressed with the coherent, integrated and enthusiastic teaching team and the integration of programme design rooted in the School’s DNA. Technology resources were deployed to good effect  and the support from the School’s leadership was strong and invaluable. The programme’s current students also drew praise, as it was clear that they took inspiration from their professors and reinforced their views.

Professor Jim Quinn, Director of Postgraduate Teaching and Learning, comments:

In addition to the CIPD accreditation, the MSc in Human Resource Management programme has been fully approved by the HR Certified Institute (HRCI) as an international leading provider of MSc in HRM. The programme is also  fully aligned with the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM)’s worldwide HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates, all of which places our MSc in HRM as the only HR programme in Ireland, and one of the few HR programmes in the world, to have the above accreditations.  It ensures that the students who undertake this programme will receive a first-class education with certified credits.
