Professor Martin Fellenz was awarded the 2012 National Award for Teaching Excellence at a ceremony in Dublin Castle on September 17, 2012. 

The National Awards for Teaching Excellence are presented by NAIRTL, the National Academy for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning. They reward consistently outstanding contributions in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and learning and are given to honour exemplary teachers whose scholarship in higher education is inspirational and influential within and beyond their institutions.
