“Ireland 2013 – Bottom of the cycle?”by Mr Kevin McConnell CFA, Founder of K3
After a number of major developments over the past months concerning Ireland’s debt load and its path to exiting the Trioka bailout program, foreign investors have been increasing Irish investment exposure. Is Ireland’s investment story now ahead of the newsflow or have we reached a visible turning point in the Irish financial outlook?
About the Speaker:
Kevin has worked with both senior management and key international investors in the Irish financial system since the financial crisis began. He has also provided key strategic analysis and advisory oversight to a range of international banking and insurance groups. His specialist work on the Irish economy and the banking sector collapse, lead him to be voted the leading strategist in the Irish market by international institutional investors. Kevin was worked on both the “buy side” and “sell side” over the past 15 years, and was a Director of Strategy/Research in stock-broking for 12 years before founding K3, a specialist consultancy group to international investors in Ireland and domestic financial institutions. He also lectures on the Msc in Finance Programme in Trinity College Dublin.

“Algorithmic Trading”by Mr Kieran Murphy CEO and Founder of TradersNow
About the Speaker:
Mr. Kieran Murphy (BScEng) has been a financial trader for over 23 years. He headed up the equity desk of one of Irelands leading stock broking houses and managed a technology fund in 2000.
He was the cofounder of one of Ireland's leading stock marketing training companies and sold his stockholding in 2006. In 2009, Kieran founded TradersNow which is a financial software company that is developing a trading system that will predict financial market trends. They have just completed the development of a neural network and will be trading in a live market by the end of November using algorithmic trading.
