Programme Outline
Module 1 - Leadership & Teamwork
The induction week begins with a Myers Briggs profile of each student which indicates how individuals perceive the world and make decisions. These insights are shared with all the class so that they can better understand each other in terms of how they are likely to see issues, how they think, how they make decisions and how they like to work.
These insights are constantly referred to during the days of team building exercises (outdoor action learning). The students are also given insights into their team role preferences via the Belbin Team Roles instrument. Individual scores are disclosed to the class.
This whole process is geared to help them understand the dynamics of leadership and enable them to operate effectively in teams as group working is a cornerstone of the programme. Presentation skills are also taught early in the first week.
Module 2 - Understanding The Environment
