Partnerships

The School of Business at Trinity College is a global centre of excellence in finance. For students of the MSc in Finance, our alliances with three key global standard institutes and our support for students to participate in the Bloomberg Product Certification Programme ensures the high standard and transferability of the skills that you will acquire with us.

1. Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA Institute) http://www.business.uts.edu.au/finance/courses/cfa.jpg

The Chartered Financial Analyst designation, which is accredited by the CFA Institute, is the most respected and recognised investment credential in the world. We in the School of Business are pleased to be one of only 35 European institutions that are recognised as CFA Program Partners.

This means that we have embedded at least 70% of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge into our degree programmes, including the MSc in Finance. If a degree programme is designated as a CFA Program Partner, then you know you are in a course that is academically rigorous and closely aligned with professional practice.

The university offers five scholarships every year to take Level 1 of the CFA at a substantially reduced fee. These are offered on merit in the course of the academic year. Whether you are a CFA charter holder or a CFA candidate, you can be confident that the MSc in Finance curriculum meets your needs.

2. Professional Risk Managers’ International AssociationPRMIA logo

The PRMIA confers the PRM® designation, which is the gold standard for the world’s top financial risk professionals. The School of Business is proud to be an Academic Partner of the PRMIA, as it connects our students to a living, evolving network of over 80 thousand risk professionals operating in over 200 countries.

3. Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association CAIA logo

The CAIA offers the only globally recognised designation for professionals working in alternative investments. The School of Business is one of only seven academic partners of the CAIA, which means that our graduates lead the field in alternative investment concepts, tools and practices, all in the context of the highest standards of professional conduct.

4. Bloomberg

Many MSc in Finance students pursue a Bloomberg Certification while they are with us here at the School of Business. Students have open access to Bloomberg Terminal, which is the world’s leading platform for analytics and equity trading, data services and financial news. The system is fast becoming the industry standard, so proficiency in it gives you a serious competitive advantage.

You will have access to the Bloomberg Product Certification Program, which offers structured training in fixed income, equity and foreign exchange. We enable you to go online to take the course, and to take the exams too if you wish.
