Transforming Trinity, Dublin, Ireland and the World
Delivery of the Trinity Biosciences Development will consolidate the position of Ireland as a clear leader in international health and translational research

It is envisaged that this development will encourage foreign direct investment through multinational corporations, as partnerships are delivered in the pharmaceutical and biotechnological sectors. It will facilitate knowledge creation, intellectual property generation and spin out indigenous enterprise. Geographically, it will embed Trinity education, training and research activities within the community, in a new and meaningful way, clearly linked to commerce and employment on a rejuvenated Pearse Street.
Through provision of commercial and retail activities in our developments, Trinity intends to interact positively on street level, bringing footfall and activity to Pearse Street once again

The College is acutely aware of the impact its activities have on the surrounding city, and on our neighbours in the area. With the Pearse Corridor Development the College is addressing key concerns of the local residents and is committed to opening up the campus to the City – both as an amenity and as a thoroughfare.
The two glazed atria form the main building entrances for Trinity College – (west atrium) – and the Commercial Entrance – (east atrium) – respectively, with the central public concourse providing the new entrance to Pearse Street Railway Station and a significant ground floor retail shopping arcade fostering trade and interaction, providing key amenities for local residents and the College population.
The Trinity Biosciences Development’s design includes provision for a major new public entrance to Pearse Station directly from Pearse Street
The site is located in a transition zone between the Georgian city core with the TCD Campus to the west and south, and the emerging new Dublin Docklands area and commercial and residential areas to the north and east. The site for this project immediately abuts Pearse Station, an important transport hub at city and national level, providing access to main line and DART services.

Pearse station.
Pearse Station is the single busiest railway station operated by Iarnród Eireann in terms of passenger numbers, and its importance is projected to increase significantly under the Transport21 initiative with the construction of a linked underground station on the Interconnector route and an expanded DART and InterCity rail network.
