Professor Pieter Brama

Pieter Brama is the Professor of Veterinary Surgery at University College Dublin and is the head of Veterinary Clinical Sciences. Professor Pieter Brama is collaborating with Prof. Daniel Kelly and Prof. Fergal OBrien on the pre-clinical evaluation of tissue engineering strategies for joint repair.

Richard Costello is Consultant Physician in Respiratory Medicine at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, and Associate Professor of Medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

Jim Crowley is Consultant Cardiologist at University College Hospital Galway.
Professor Orla Hardiman
Professor Hardiman is a Health Research Board Clinician Scientist. Her main research interests are amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (motor neurone disease) and related motor neuron degenerations, phenotype/genotype correlations, population genetics and clinical epidemiology. Professor Hardiman collaborates with the TCBE in neuroimaging of ALS.
Professor Michael Hutchinson

Michael Hutchinson is a Consultant Neurologist at St. Vincent's University Hospital and the Newman Clinical Research Professor at University College Dublin. Professor Hutchinson has over 190 peer-reviewed publications in three main areas: multiple sclerosis (MS), hereditary spastic paraplegia and dystonia. Research collaborations with TCBE include hypotheses generation and experimentation to further our understanding of dystonia, through neuroimaging and behavioural testing.

Professor Rose Anne Kenny is a world leader in research into cardiovascular and mobility disorders in ageing.
Professor Tim Lynch
Professor Tim Lynch is a Consultant Neurologist at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital (MMUH) and Beaumont Hospital. He is also Director of the Dublin Neurological Institute at the MMUH and Professor of Neurology at University College Dublin (UCD) and Clinical Investigator at the Conway Institute, UCD. Professor Lynchs collaborations with TCBE focus on understanding    freezing of gait in Parkinsons Disease, cognitive changes in Parkinsons Disease and deep brain stimulation.
Mr. Dylan Murray

Mr. Dylan Murray is a consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon in the Mater Misericordiae Hospital and Lead Consultant at the National Paediatric Craniofacial Centre in Temple Street Children's University Hospital. Prof. Murray is collaborating with Prof. Fergal O’Brien on understanding the mechanisms underpinning the influence of age and craniosynostosis on the regenerative capacity of cells & tissues.

Professor Kevin J Mulhall
Professor Kevin Mulhall is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital, and Sports Surgery Clinic, Dublin. Prof. Mulhall is collaborating with Prof. Daniel Kelly on evaluating the potential of joint tissue derived stem cells for articular cartilage tissue engineering.
Professor John OByrne

Professor John O'Byrne is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital, Mater Private Hospital and The Sports Surgery Clinic, Santry.   He is the Abraham Colles Professor of Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgery in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.   He is a Fellow of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine in Ireland and the UK.  He is Chairman of the Medical Board of Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital.  He has an extensive clinical practice treating disorders of the hip and knee.  He is Orthopaedic Surgeon to the Irish national soccer team with extensive referral for sports injuries.

Professor OByrne is working with Professor Fergal OBrien on the development on novel biomaterials and surgical devices for cartilage and osteochondral repair.  He and Prof. O’Brien are co-PIs on a Eur€1.3 million SFI-HRB Translational Research Award which began in 2012. In addition he is a PI is the new Eur50 million SFI-funded AMBER Centre.
Dr. Faisal Sharif
Doctor Sharif is a Senior Lecturer in Regenerative Medicine at the National University of Ireland, Galway and a Consultant Cardiologist at University Hospital Galway. His collaboration with TCBE focuses on research in translational medicine focusing on cardiovascular clinical trials for medical devices and basic science outputs.

Professor Niall Tubridy
Niall Tubridy is an Associate Clinical Professor in the School of Medicine and Medical Science in St Vincents Hospital, Dublin. Professor Tubridy collaborates with the TCBE in the measures of cognitive function in Multiple Sclerosis using neuroimaging methods.
Dr. Laura Viani

Dr. Laura Viani is a Consultant ENT Surgeon & Director of the National Cochlear Implant Programme which is located in Dublin's Beaumont Hospital. Dr Vianis collaborations with TCBE focus on objective measures of auditory processing in Cochlear Implant users.
