The Engineers Ireland Biomedical Research Medal was won by Eamon Sheehy of Trinity Centre for Bioengineering at the Annual Bioeingineering in Ireland conference on 27 January 2012. Stephen Thorpe won First Prize for Established Student Researcher Presentation
The Irish Research Council for Science, Engineering and Technology (IRCSET) is accepting on-line applications for the EMBARK Postgraduate Scholarship Competition 2012 . Scholarships are valued at Eur24,000 per year of award. Deadline is 15th February. There are a number of projects in the areas of Neural Engineering, Regenerative Medicine, Musculoskeletal, Biomaterials and Cardiovascular. Please email your area of interest to TCBE@tcd.ie and we will put you in contact with academic staff with specific research PhD openings.
