Small Group Teaching

BESS Departments believe in complementing lectures with smaller tutorial groups where individual members of staff work with students in small group discussions throughout the year. Small group teaching is of particular importance in the Junior Freshman year. In this way students are provided with the best of both worlds where lecturers deliver authoritative summaries of material which is analysed in further detail in small groups.

Study Abroad

The Junior Sophister (third) year of study allows time to study abroad - one term or even a full year. Click here to see a comprehensive list of partner universities where our students may spend this time away.

Careers

BESS graduates are highly employable and hold senior positions around the world in accountancy, banking, corporate finance, manufacturing, journalism, public service, teaching and research. Many graduates are also well prepared to pursue post-graduate degrees in Ireland and abroad. The College Careers Advisory Service also provide information on the paths that BESS graduates follow.

You can browse through those features of the website of particular interest to prospective students, and if you have further queries about the programme, you can contact us by email or through the information given on the Contact web page.
