The inaugural School of English Alumni lecture "A History of the Crime Novel, in Ten-and-A-Bit Novels" was given by best-selling author John Connolly in the new Long Room Hub.
New York Trinity Ball

The Greater New York TCD Alumni celebrated the Trinity Ball at the Loeb Boathouse in Central Park in June 2011. More than 100 alumni and friends enjoyed cocktails overlooking the lake, followed by a delicious meal and dancing.
Pimms in the Pav 2011
Last June over €3,000 was raised for the Alumni Appeal at ‘Pimms in the Pav’ – a social evening in the Pavilion Bar where TCD alumni enjoyed Pimms, great views of the cricket, live music and a fun prize raffle.

The inaugural US History Lecture “Barack Obama and the American Democratic Tradition” delivered by James Kloppenberg, the Charles Warren Professor of History at Harvard University, is now online.
Shoots and Leaves

Dr Matthew Jebb, Director of Botanic Gardens, delivered “Shoots and Leaves: Changes in the plants, vegetation and natural habitats of Ireland” as part of the Tweedy Lecture Series and in celebration of 300 years of Botany in TCD.
Career Network

Over 100 people attended the annual Career Network, a five-week lecture series delivered by career experts. Now in its second year, the Trinity Alumni Career Network provides graduates with an invaluable career planning resource.
