Research is supported by a number of sources, including grants from the Marine Institute, the Environmental Protection Agency, Science Foundation Ireland, EC Interreg and EC INTAS.
The Group also undertakes consultancy work with firms including EcoServe, Natura, and Kirk McLure Morton and with various local authorities.
Extensive use is made of the national research vessel, the Celtic Voyager, and commercial fishing boats.
