The Zoological Museum Guided Tours

puma skull imagesGetting your picture taken through the jaws of a shark and feeling the might of a crocodile’s teeth are just some of the thrills on offer at Trinity College’s Zoological Museum over the summer months.
The 250-year old collection houses 25,000 specimens, representing all of the animal phyla. While the main purpose of the museum is to provide undergraduate training in animal systematics, biodiversity and taxonomy, the museum will be open to the public from Monday, June 24th, 2013 for a limited period only.Visitors will be given a guided introduction to the exciting world of extinct creatures, exotic beasts and beautiful glass models of marine animals. The tours will be given by zoology students and staff who will be happy to share their knowledge and experience of all creatures great and small.

Access:  The Zoological Museum is located in the Zoology Building, which was established in 1876. While we are working towards the provision of wheelchair access to the Building, we regret that this facility is not in place at present.
