What we do

Activity / programme Who is it for? What’s involved?
School visits 6th years TAP student ambassadors visit each school to share information about the student experience and alternative entry routes to college
Med day 1st and 2nd years Pupils come to Trinity to take part in clinical skills workshops run by Trinity Medical students
Challenge days 5th years Pupils take part in a series of academic, entrepreneurial, social and cultural workshops designed to stimulate and develop their academic, creative and business skills. These workshops are delivered in partnership with Ernst & Young and Young Social Innovators
Exploring options day 6th years Pupils are invited to a TAP information session about alternative entry routes during Trinity Open Day
Honours maths revision programme 3rd and 6th years A 14 week revision programme held in Trinity for pupils studying Junior or Leaving Certificate higher-level maths. Places on this programme and the ordinary level maths revision listed below are limited and are, therefore, available exclusively to students of TAP’s link schools. A full list of TAP’s link schools can be found here. Places on similar courses are available on a private fee-paying basis. Further information can be found here
Ordinary level maths revision 6th years A one day intensive revision course for Leaving Certificate students studying ordinary level maths
Educational achievement awards 1st, 2nd and 3rd years A project-based competition with an award ceremony in Trinity
Summer school 5th years A week in Trinity in June to get a taste of college life
Parents' information evening Parents of 1st, 2nd and 3rd years Information session for parents to help them support their children in education
Take 5 summer programme Transition year pupils and 5th years A 5-day summer camp. Pupils spend one day each in TCD, UCD, NUI Maynooth, DIT and DCU
Transition year chemistry programme Transition years Pupils take part in a week long chemistry programme organised by the School of Chemistry. Further details can be found here
International chemistry summer school Transition year pupils and 5th years Students are invited to apply for a scholarship to attend a week long chemistry summer school
Bridge21 6th class, transition year and 5th years Pupils take part in group-based projects mentored by volunteer college students
