This is known as an Intra Community Acquisition and the College will have to apply/charge Irish VAT when processing the payment. Your account will be debited with this VAT charge after the processing stage. For more information see web link: VAT for Foreign Suppliers
- This is written confirmation from the Revenue that a company’s tax affairs are in order at the date of issue. It is a requirement that a Tax Clearance Certificate is obtained from suppliers with whom more than €10,000 worth of business is placed in any 12-month period. Please inform suppliers at time of ordering of potential Tax clearance requirements. The Treasurer’s Office sends out letters after each payment to suppliers who require a tax clearance certificate.

This is a tax (standard rate) which is deducted from all professional services that are supplied to the College. It can be reclaimed from the Revenue by all foreign suppliers and it can be taken as a credit against Income Tax liability by all home suppliers.
