You can also log in with your college username and password to access further support, such as Online Counselling and Ask a Counsellor.

It can be used for issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship problems, work/study problems and many more. This service is free of charge and anonymous.

Please note Ways Forward will no longer be available after 1st March 2013.

It provides various levels of support depending on your personal level of need - from risk assessment to weekly monitoring, online discussion boards and online counselling chats. Silver Cloud:

Silver Cloud is a computer based system used to deliver online programmes that target specific problems. The programmes are delivered online and aim to offer information and support for students experiencing problems. Students who use Silver Cloud are assigned a counsellor (from the Student Counselling Service) who ‘checks in’ online about once a week and gives extra help if needed. There are two programmes on offer to students of TCD. One is called ‘Mind Balance’ and targets symptoms of depression. The other is called ‘See My Self’ and targets concerns around body image and self-esteem.

E-PUB:

Want feedback on your alcohol use? E-pub in an interactive web-survey that allows TCD students to enter information about their drinking patterns and receive feedback about their use of alcohol. The assessment takes about 6-7 minutes to complete, is self-guided, and requires no face-to-face contact time with a counsellor.
