Student Counselling Service Complaints Procedure

Service users (student, college staff etc) who wish to make a complaint about the service they have received, are encouraged in the first instance to address their complaint directly with the member of the counselling service staff with whom they are involved.

If this proves unsatisfactory, they should make their complaint to the Director of the Student Counselling Service. If the complaint involves the Director, or is a complaint that has not been addressed to the complainant’s satisfaction by the Director, the issue should be brought to the attention of the Chief Operating Officer.

If these internal procedures fail to resolve the issue satisfactorily, and if they are of a professional clinical nature, a complaint may be made directly to the relevant Professional Associations of the staff concerned, details of which are on our website.
