If you wish to make an appointment with the Student Counselling Service, please consider one of the options below. If you have any other queries you can call into reception on the 3rd floor of 7-9 South Leinster Street or contact us on:

Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your first appointment to complete important intake forms. These forms are completed on our waiting room PC’s and your answers are sent directly to the counselling service database. All your answers are encrypted and securely stored. Your TCD record is not affected in any way by completing these forms or by attending the service.
Brief Consultation
Students who have never used the service before are advised to avail of a Brief Consultation slot. Brief Consultation is a drop-in service reserved for new clients who have not already made an appointment with us and it runs during term time (October to May) from Monday to Friday through lunch (1.00pm-2.00pm).
Each day there are two half-hour slots available. Brief Consultation cannot be booked in advance and Students are seen on a first come first served basis, so just call in person to reception on the 3rd floor of 7-9 South Leinster Street.

Book a One to One Counselling Session
To book a One to One appointment with a counsellor, please call (01) 8961407 or come visit us on the 3rd floor of 7-9 South Leinster Street. Please note that we do not currently offer appointments via email request.
When you contact us a member of Staff will offer you the next available Counselling appointment and you will be asked for your student number and contact details.
Cancellations
If for any reason you have to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please allow us as much notice as possible, as we may be able to offer the appointment to another student who is waiting to see a counsellor. Simply phone (01) 8961407 or call into the service (3rd floor 7/9 South Leinster Street) and advise us that you will not be able to attend your appointment.
