What we do

TCD Together Consent is a Sexual Consent Evidence Based Prevention and Education Programme here in Trinity College Dublin. Our aim and intention is to spearhead good practice and awareness towards embedding the culture shift involved in a whole community, zero tolerance approach to Sexual and Gender-based Violence and all forms of discrimination.

The TCD Together Consent Education Programme was founded in 2016, facilitating Consent workshops across college campus. Since then, we have been expanding the educational services we offer and are proud to be at the forefront of the Consent Education in Third Level Education in Ireland. Additionally, we offer a staff-student partnership to our Consent Workshops that invites a collaborative and immersive dynamic to our Consent trainings.

We offer trainings to students and staff in Consent, Consent Plus, Disclosure and Bystander Intervention, both online and in person. We develop trainings that deliver a trauma-informed approach to working with sexual and gender-based violence, and all forms of discrimination across college and the wider community. We work alongside Student Counselling Services, Student Unions and Societies, The Dept. Of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, TCD Faculty & Staff, and all stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and focused education and prevention programme that supports the voices, agency and empowerment of all in our college community.

You can find out more information on these workshops below, and you can request access to workshops as an educational resource here.

We are also proud to be collaborating with UCC to begin offering their Bystander Intervention Module in 2023.

We also help to facilitate research and data collection around sexual violence in Higher Education in Ireland.

We engage in national and local surveys in collaboration with other Higher Education Institutions.
