Potential and Challenge

The Irish Statistics Association in collaboration with

Central Statistics Office

National Institute for Regional and Spatial Analysis (NIRSA), and

Small Area Health Research Unit (SAHRU) in TCD

A one day meeting on the rapidly emerging field of Small Area Statistics.

This initial meeting was broad based and aimed at users and potential users of small area information in Ireland and will be addressed by experts who been active in developing the field internationally and nationally. The focus of the discussion was on the potential in Ireland for small area data and analysis and on the challenges in moving forward. Speakers were as below.
