Criteria & Eligability
All applicants must satisfy the normal entry requirements of the University and have been offered a place on a degree programme at the University.
Applicants must demonstrate outstanding ability in their named sport and demonstrate their ability to compete at National/International level.
The recipient of a scholarship must be prepared to commit him/herself to involvement in the respective Trinity College sports club.
They must represent Trinity College.
Continuation on the Scholarship programme each year is dependant on the recipient making satisfactory progress in both academic and sporting performance.
Students must complete an application form below for review by the Sports Scholarship committee.
The closing date for submission for the academic year 2016/2017 will be the end of August 2016.
Applicants should apply to the CAO in the normal way as the Sports Scholarship Programme is NOT connected in any way to academic entry to Trinity.
Each application must be accompanied by a sporting reference from the student's coach, club, school or National Governing Body if applicable.
All applications will be reviewed by the Sports Scholarship Committee and short listed applicants may be invited to attend an interview.
The panel will consider the applicants current level of performance, potential in your sport and the possible contribution to sport in TCD.
The Committee meet to review the applications in early September, short listed candidates may then be called for interview.
