Scholarships - Application Form 2013-2014 (PDF)
A limited number of Sporting Scholarships are offered to full time students who are accepted into Trinity College. Applicants should have outstanding ability in a particular sport, and desire to represent the University in their sport. The Closing date for Application for the Academic Year 2013/2014 is Friday 5th July 2013.
Benefits
The Scholarships provide the following benefits;
- Monetary grant
- Nutritional Workshops
- Physiological Assessment/Fitness Testing and follow up training
The Scholarship may be renewed in subsequent years dependent on performance.
Commitment
Awardees will be expected to become an active member of the University sporting club for which the award has been granted.
Competing for a University club and at Inter Collegiate competitions also presents the opportunity to be nominated for a University pink, the highest sporting award the University can give.
Each year intervarsity sporting competitions are played against other Universities and Colleges.
Sports Scholarship awardees are expected to represent Trinity College at these events, noting that the Sport Clubs Governing Body (DUCAC) subsidies travel and accommodation expenses for representative teams.
NB: Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis and may be renewed for subsequent years.
