Our Philosophy

The Trinity Sport Scholarship is designed to support an environment in which student athletes can excel in both competition and their studies. We recognise the needs and challenges of these student athletes and strive to give them the support needed to make consistent progress and perform at the highest level.

Why Choose Trinity

Our Scholarship program is specifically designed around you as an individual. We recognise that coursework and sporting commitments differ between scholars. We utilise expertise and services in multiple areas to ensure that you receive relevant and effective support. We aim to make your years at Trinity a productive and beneficial experience. We focus on finding the balance between training and study to ensure your success, both in sport and academics.

Application Process

The application form is available online from February through to the 17th July 2018. In addition to submitting this completed form it is advised that you make contact with the Sports Performance Development Officer at Trinity via email. The scholarship is awarded on an annual basis and all scholars must reapply each academic year.

Criteria and Eligibility

Sporting

Those applying will normally have demonstrated an outstanding sporting ability. This can range from Regional to Olympic level competition. The level of scholarship will reflect the achievements of the individual applying. Some preference is given to current Focus and Olympic sports.

Academic

Minimum academic requirements must be met by all applicants. A college offer must be made and accepted in order to be eligible for scholarship. The scholarship has no influence on college offers or places and will not have any influence on CAO or entry requirements. The scholarship is also open to current students both undergraduate and postgraduate.
