TRINITY OLYMPIANS

The opening of the Summer Olympic Games in London on 27th July 2012 will commence a celebration of sport on a global scale. At Trinity College, we will be embracing the spirit and excitement of the occasion by organising a number of Olympic themed events and initiatives.

Trinity has a proud tradition of representation and participation at the Games dating back to the London Games in 1908 and as recently as the last Games in Beijing in 2008. Our research has shown that a total of 54 Trinity graduates have taken part on the ultimate Olympic sporting stage and on the evening of Wednesday 6th June, we celebrated their achievements and unveiled profiles which will be displayed longer term in the Sports Centre.

The busy sporting programme at Trinity will assume an Olympic theme throughout the course of the summer so keep an eye on our web and Facebook for more information and opportunities to get involved and enjoy the sporting celebrations!
