Fitness Theatre

(Ground Floor): The fitness theatre is located on the ground floor level of the sports centre approximately 450 sqm, over looking the pool. It contains a full range of state of the art cardiovascular machines (treadmills, steppers, cross trainers, rowers wind jammers, keiser spin bikes and upright and recumbent bikes), resistance machines, free weights, squat racks, smith machine, ham/glute machine and a multifunctional machine just to name a few. The Fitness Theatre has universal access and the equipment has been purchased with universal use in mind, where possible. Fitness instruction, programme planning and personal training is available to all members, a nominal fee may apply. Contact reception for details. Whatever your fitness needs are, be assured that we can provide quality instruction and advice, the best equipment and a safe healthy environment for you to exercise in. We are currently planning an expansion of our Fitness Theatre to include new weights machines, free weights and cardio equipment.

Ancillary Hall

(First Floor): Approximately 380sqm, with a soft taraflex surface provides the practice area for many of the martial arts clubs including Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, Judo and also Fencing. This hall also caters for our group personal training courses, box fit, bootcamp and pilates classes. The area can be subdivided into two spaces, accommodating a mix of activities at the same time. It is also large enough for some racquet and ball sports, although these are mostly played in the main hall.

Climbing Wall

(First Floor): An excellent and exciting facility on view from Westland Row, Pearse St and the railway line. Climbing competency must be provided before being permitted to the wall and we provide lessons, group sessions, club training and individual open climbing throughout the year.

Changing Facilities

(First Floor): Dry changing facilities are located on the first floor and cater for up to 300 people at any one time. Lockers are located on the corridors and we always encourage members not to leave valuables unattended. Locks are on sale at Reception.

Trinity Sport Offices

(Second Floor): The Administrative Offices for Sport in College are located on the second floor. There is also the Boardroom and a meeting room available for use by members which must be booked in advance.

Treatment Rooms

(Second Floor): There are treatment rooms which provide for massage, relaxation and sports injuries treatments. Services are by appointments only. This service is currently available. Click for further information on the different available treatments.

Main Sports Hall

(Third Floor): The main hall is 810sqm and is mostly divided into two court areas for basketball, volleyball, netball, 5-aside soccer, 6 badminton courts and 2 handball courts. Other sport clubs that use the main hall are our trampoline club, american football and frisbee to name a few. This hall is ideal for corporate indoor soccer bookings and event bookings. Retractable bleacher seating is available for major competitions and events using the full size court area with a viewing gallery above.

Studio Cycling

(Third Floor): The dedicated studio cycling area is beside the mainhall and provides regular studio cycling classes, which are excellent fun, safe and suited to all levels of fitness, gender and age. See the recreation programme for schedule of classes. This is a bookable area for private corporate classes.

Keiser Resistance Training Room

(Ground Floor): Located on the ground floor, 7 keiser air resistance machines along with various cardio stations. This equipment offers the latest technology in resistance training.  It involves training with similar weights machines to that of the Fitness theatre without the weights stacks.  Rather than using weights stacks on each machine, Keiser have developed an electrical compressor that provides as much or as little resistance that you require for our full circuit of resistance equipment training.  You can easily increase or decrease the amount of resistance throughout the movement of the exercise which is something you cannot do with the regular resistance equipment. You can book a free induction with one of our qualified instructors at the reception desk.
