Open Day 2017

The Trinity Open Day is aimed at second level pupils and their parents/guardians. For students seeking admission to Trinity in 2018 the Open Day will be held on Saturday 2nd December 2017 (TBC). A series of presentations will cover most of Trinity's courses, while prospective students will have an opportunity to meet with teaching staff and current students for all courses at the individual course stands. Tours of College will also be provided.

Nationwide Careers Fairs

Trinity College is represented at all of the major nationwide IGC careers fairs and at many other regional careers fairs each year. At these events prospective students can obtain copies of the prospectus and can find out about Trinity College’s courses, specific entry requirements and student life at Trinity College. School Visits

Visiting Trinity College & Campus Tours

Guidance counsellors may request an on-campus presentation and a campus tour (for visiting school groups). On-campus tours and presentations are limited so please book in early! The Admissions Office is located in the Academic Registry and is open daily, Monday-Friday from 9.30-5.00. Potential applicants are more than welcome to drop in to discuss Trinity College’s application procedures.

Mature Students’ Information Seminar

Mathematics/Physics Open Day

The Schools of Mathematics and Physics will hold a specific Mathematics/Physics open day. The day will include:

  • Presentations by our professors and lecturers on topics like particle physics, string theory, nanophysics, astrophysics.
  • Presentations about our degrees in maths and physics.
  • Information about career opportunities for maths and physics graduates.
  • A tour of the laboratories and other facilities.
  • The opportunity to chat to the lecturers, and to students currently studying in Trinity College.

Chemistry Summer School

This is a one week programme aimed at transition year and fifth year students interested in taking chemistry at leaving certificate level. The programme is run in conjunction with the University of Bristol where secondary students from Ireland together with secondary students from the Bristol area join together in team based research projects based in state of the art laboratories here in Trinity College Dublin and at the University of Bristol. Students spend the first half of the week in Bristol and the second half here at the School of Chemistry in Trinity College. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
