Russian as a Foreign Language

- masterrussian.com/ provides grammar lessons, vocabulary and phrases, tips on learning the Russian language. The site also offers many downloadable free dictionaries, a free human translation help service, a list of common words in all languages, many downloadable fonts for foreign languages, and a shop where you can buy handheld electronic dictionaries and translation software for all platforms.
- The Online Russian Language Center at: learningrussian.com/ offers educational resources on learning Russian as a foreign language for all levels of students.
- www.russnet.org/online.html offers various thematic modules for Russian language instruction. These modules can be used in the classroom, or for independent study.

Some of Russia's TV channels provide free live online broadcasting, so that you can watch them over broadband. However, only few channels can boast about reasonably good access. I recomment the following 24 hours services which are as yet free. You will require Windows Media Player to run these:
1. Russia Today: in English, a new channel in a Euronews format
2. RBC TV: news every 30 mins with interviews, market analyses
3. Vesti24: news, this is a new channelreports from Russia's regions
