Biography

I was born in 1976 in Vinež near Labin (Croatia). I attended elementary school and high school in Labin. In 2001, I completed the study of the Croatian language and literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka. The topic of my thesis was Tin Ujević’s poetry.

I completed the Postgraduate studies of literature (majoring in Theory and the History of Literature) at the Department of Comparative Literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. My master’s thesis was about Mythical Components in the Works of Vladimir Nazor, which I defended in January 2009.

In 2009, I enrolled the third year of Postgraduate doctoral studies of Croatian culture at the Department of Croatian studies at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. In July 2015, I defended my doctoral thesis with the topic The Cultural Context of Croatian Historical Novel at the End of the 20th and Beginning of the 21st century.

I worked in elementary schools and at the University of Zadar, where I held courses of Old Croatian Literature and Performing Arts at the Department of Croatian and Slavic Studies.

Conferences and Publications

I display my works at conferences in Croatia (Opatija, Rijeka, Osijek, Zadar, Postira, Vinkovci) and abroad (Sarajevo, Mostar, Belgrade). I have published 28 works, of which four of the articles have been published in international journals and conferences (New Review of Children's Literature and Librarianship, Hum, Bosna franciscana, Slovo o Maku).

With the support of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts and the City of Labin, I published a book called Olive and Sacred Grove. Nazor’s Mythical Themes and Motifs.
