Ewa Stańczyk is a Lecturer in East European Studies at the University of Amsterdam and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Russian and Slavonic Studies at Trinity College Dublin. Prior to that she held the EURIAS Fellowship at the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Studies and the Thomas Brown Lectureship at TCD. She holds a Ph.D in Polish Studies from the University of Manchester and has taught Eastern European History and Culture at the University of Manchester, University of Liverpool and Trinity College Dublin. She has parallel interests in Polish and East European cultural studies, contemporary history and anthropology. She is the author of Contact Zone Identities in the Poetry of Jerzy Harasymowicz (Peter Lang, 2012).
