A Message from the Editors
Welcome to the website of the Student Psychology Journal of Ireland, a student compiled journal that was established in 2010 to provide an outlet for students to have their outstanding research published. For its readers - whether they are students, academics or simply hold an interest in the field - the journal seeks to elicit debate by publishing exciting new findings along with studies that highlight new facets of more established theories and principles.
During the course of their studies, undergraduate psychology students produce original and exceptional work, adding to the field’s knowledge of human behaviour. While a number of student projects are published in distinguished journals each year, often important studies of the highest calibre are left unpublished and their potential contributions to our body of knowledge left unrealised. The Student Psychology Journal hopes to rectify this matter.
This journal encourages students to believe in the validity of their work. We hope that it will inspire academics to continue contributing to the field, during all stages of their education, as it is through academic excellence that our knowledge of human behaviour can progress. Contemporary understanding would be lacking without the insightful and thought-provoking work of undergraduates.
With this in mind, we would urge you to get involved and subsequently contribute your meritorious work to the Student Psychology Journal.
We look forward to reading your submissions.
