- Recognise and evaluate the main alternative approaches to the study of international politics.
- Conduct independent postgraduate research in international relations theory.
Module Learning Aims
This module aims to introduce students to basic texts and concepts in international relations scholarship at the graduate level.
Module Content
The module is intended to provide students with a systematic introduction to central conceptual and theoretical debates in international politics and their application to important topics such as international cooperation, international institutions (such as international courts and bureaucracies), war and peace, and the politics of trade and foreign investment.
