Murugan Rajendiran is currently a research fellow at the CRANN of the Trinity College Dublin from May 2013. He graduated with a PhD in Organic Chemistry (CLRI-CSIR Lab) from the University of Madras and subsequently became an Associate Scientific Manager (ASM) at the Synthetic Chemistry Department in Syngene-Biocon 2009. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the NUSCNN of the National University of Singapore (June 2009 to April 2013). His research interests include Electrospinning, Electrostatic spraying and nanocatalysis.

Development of highly porous nanofibre membranes and hierarchical nanostructures using electrospinning techniques marks an exciting new stage for materials in biomedicine.
