Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy

FT-IR is mainly used for absorption spectroscopy and can be used to identify complex compounds such as polymer blends or investigate sample composition.

Instrumentation
Nicolet Nexus FT-IR connected to a Nicolet Continuµm Infrared Microscope.

Software
NTS software incorporating instrument control, data manipulation and analysis, and flexible report utilities.

Operation
Operated in standard transmission and reflection mode
Spectral range of 5000 to 400 cm-1 / 2 to 25 µm / 0.62 to 0.05 eV
